The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has set an ambitious targets of 4,100 crore rupees towards capital expenditure on airport infrastructure during the ongoing fiscal and utilising 94 per cent of the total passenger carrying capacity.
It will also undertake an airport service quality (ASQ) survey at its top 20 airports, the AAI said in a statement today.
The survey will be carried out the Airports Council International, the global trade representative of the world's airport authorities.
The targets have been elaborated in the annual performance contract for 2018-19 which the AAI signed with the civil aviation ministry today.
The memorandum of understanding was signed between Civil Aviation Secretary R N Choubey and Chairman of the AAI Guruprasad Mohapatra, specifying various parameters and targets to be performed by the AAI during the year.
The parameters and targets include all the major areas of the AAI, including finance, capacity utilisation, research and development, project implementation, human resource and cargo.
"The AAI has undertaken an ambitious target of Rs. 4,100 crores towards capital expenditure on airport infrastructure development during 2018-19," the AAI statement said.
It has also agreed to set a target to utilise 94 per cent of its total passenger capacity at its airports.
The AAI has also agreed to carry out an HR audit at its airports in order to strengthen its human resource, the statement added.
