As political parties engaged in a slugfest over deaths of three sisters allegedly due to starvation in east Delhi, the AAP attacked at BJP alleging "irregularities" in mid-day meal scheme in schools run by municipal bodies, which are ruled by the saffron party.
AAP spokesperson Dilip Pandey alleged a "scam" in mid-day meal scheme in municipal corporation schools.
"As per data, there are 2.78 lakh children in North Delhi Municipal Corporation run schools, however the BJP ruled corporation claims supplying mid-day meal for 3.28 lakh students," Pandey claimed.
Demanding a probe into the "scam", Pandey said guilty officials and elected representatives of the corporations must be brought to book.
No AAP leader visited the family, who lost the three girls, in Mandawali.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also avoided visiting Mandawali though he inspected Anand Parbat transit camp to take stock of condition in which people shifted from Kathputli Colony slum have been shifted.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, however, met the mother of the deceased girls at the SDM office and announced a financial relief of Rs 25,000 to the affected family.
