As political parties engaged in a slugfest over deaths of three sisters allegedly due to starvation in east Delhi, the AAP attacked at BJP alleging "irregularities" in mid-day meal scheme in schools run by municipal bodies, which are ruled by the saffron party.

AAP spokesperson Dilip Pandey alleged a "scam" in mid-day meal scheme in municipal corporation schools.

"As per data, there are 2.78 lakh children in North Delhi Municipal Corporation run schools, however the BJP ruled corporation claims supplying mid-day meal for 3.28 lakh students," Pandey claimed.

Demanding a probe into the "scam", Pandey said guilty officials and elected representatives of the corporations must be brought to book.
