BJP today alleged that due to the Arvind Kejriwal-led government's "politics of confrontation", Delhi is facing an "administrative paralysis" as bureaucrats working under an "atmosphere of fear" have stopped taking initiative.
Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay said the situation has arisen "due to the incompetence and confrontation attitude" of the Kejriwal government, resulting in the secretariat work coming to a standstill.
"Development work has stopped, no new projects have been started in last six months. The condition of Public Works Department (PWD) maintained roads is terrible, at times one feels roads are potholes," he said in a statement.
Upadhaya alleged that "revenue collections have dropped drastically while corruption in Delhi Government offices is rampant".
He claimed that due to government negligence gas turbine plants have shut down, ration public distribution system has totally "collapsed" as also the implementation of social security schemes.
"Despite availability of raw water, Delhi is facing a water crisis as there no administrative initiative in Delhi Jal Board which has been witnessing repeated transfers of CEO and change of Vice Chairman," he said.
The Delhi BJP President appealed to Kejriwal "to shed the politics of confrontation in public interest and concentrate on administrative work".
