Continuing with their attack on Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal, AAP MLAs today accused the L-G office of "creating hurdles" in the works of the Arvind Kejriwal government.
Participating in a discussion in the Assembly today on the L-G's 'report card' that was presented in the House by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia yesterday, AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged irregularities by the Lt Governor's office in transfer and postings of officers working with the Delhi government.
Bharadwaj said "corruption" in the ration department is known to everyone and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had requested the L-G thrice to "remove the corrupt official", but Baijal is not removing that officer.
"There is open game of money for transfer and postings of officers in the L-G office... he (L-G) is not removing corrupt officials," he alleged in the House.
When contacted, a senior official said the L-G office would be able to give a statement on MLA's allegations only after seeing the video of Bharadwaj's speech.
