"I conveyed my feeling of not contesting the election to the party this evening. I have decided to return the party ticket due to some family issues," said Padam.
However, an AAP leader claimed that it was the party which took the ticket back from Padam.
"There was resentment in the party since Padam's name was announced for the seat and this is why his ticket has been taken back from him," said AAP leader Kamaldeep Singh.
When asked about the leader's claim, Padam said he had no idea about it and that he had returned the ticket due to personal problems.
Padam is a member of the Valmiki community.
