ABB India surges 14.5%; m-cap rises Rs 3,027 cr on smart nos

Shares of power and automation technologies firm ABB India today surged 14.5 per cent after the company reported 53.75 per cent jump in net profit for the fourth quarter ended December 31.
The stock soared 14.21 per cent to settle at Rs 1,148.10 on the BSE. During the day, it zoomed 18.57 per cent to Rs 1,192.
On NSE, shares of the company jumped 14.47 per cent to end at Rs 1,151.55.
The company added Rs 3,027.2 crore to Rs 24,329.20 crore in market capitalisation (m-cap).
In terms of volume, 2.05 lakh shares of the company changed hands at BSE and over 16 lakh shares were traded at NSE during the day.

ABB India today reported a 53.75 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 129.4 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 31.
The company, which follows January-December financial year, had posted a net profit of Rs 84.16 crore in the same period last year.
Net sales in the quarter under review stood at Rs 2,384 crore, up 8.12 per cent, compared with Rs 2,204.89 crore in the corresponding period last year.
