ABVP leader arrested for threatening BJP MP

A leader of Akhil Bhyartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of BJP, was arrested for allegedly threatening and using indecent language against a party MP, police said here today.
The district coordinator of ABVP Ajay Bhanu Patel was arrested yesterday under SC/ST Act. He was produced in the district court and sent to jail on charges of using life threat and indecent words against BJP Member of Parliament from Barabanki Priyanka Rawat on Sunday last, they said.
Meanwhile, agitated with the arrest of Patel, ABVP workers staged a dharna at Kotwali police station last evening and raised slogans accusing the MP of discrimination, police said.
