The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) would move the Union ministry of Home Affairs soon to seek remedial measures for the chronic problems of North Eastern region.
Taking serious exception to the atrocities committed against the north-east people in the other regions of the country, non- availability of adequate educational facilities in the region forcing the people to seek education in Indian cities and racial discrimination against them, the ABVP resolved to move the ministry soon, its president Putti Murali Manohar, who is here to attend an annual camp said yesterday.
"Arunachalees are loving, affectionate and very sweet at the first sight, not seen anywhere else in India", he said.
He said, "India is our country represented by one race and the question of racism does not arise at all.
Those living in cities are not exposed to the unique culture and diversity of India.
Their prejudice would be removed once they visit the NE region, the cultural garden of India," he said.
Higher educational facilities should be developed in NE on priority which would serve as a boon in expanding education and even people from other parts would come for the same purpose to NE that would also remove their wrong notion, he said.
