ACP of Madhu Vihar sub-division, Veer Singh, was transferred for lacking supervisory skills, sources said, adding that he did not warn the SHO and also did not inform the district DCP about it.
According to the investigators, the preliminary probe revealed that Inspector Om Prakash of Mandawali police station had allegedly released some gamblers.
After being monitored, the SHO's complicity was found, the sources said, adding that the gamblers were involved in betting.
Prakash was aware of the betting racket in the area and despite that he did not take action against them, he said.
