Acting helps me combat depression: Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga says acting on TV series "American Horror Story: Hotel" has helped her tackle her mental illness.
The 29-year-old pop star, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has made her acting debut with the current fifth season of "American Horror Story: Hotel".
Gaga has taken medication for depression and anxiety for several years but it is her recent role that has been incomparable in battling her issues, reported Female First.
"I'm an actress now and that helps a lot. I've tried to get off (my medication), but my doctor always tells me not to, that it's not safe for me.

"I've tried a lot of things but there is something about acting that has really helped. I'm a Stefani-Gaga hybrid and I want you to know the real me," she said.
