Action initiated against anti-nuke activists: Cops tell HC

The Koodankulam Police today submitted before the Madras High Court that it has initiated action against those anti-nuclear activists who indulged in violence and would file final report within four weeks to the Valliyoor Judicial Magistrate.
The police submitted that the investigation being supervised by the Tirunelveli Superintendent of Police was under final stages.
The petitioner, President of Koodankulam Panchayat, Sandal Muthuraj alleged that the police failed to act on four complaints filed against nuclear activists who had ransacked the panchayat office and caused damage to its property.
Justice G M Akbarali adjourned the case by four weeks.
