Actor Stephen Collins investigated for alleged paedophilia

Actor Stephen Collins, known for his role of Pastor Eric Camden '7th Heaven', is reportedly being investigated for allegedly molesting some underage girls.
The 67-year-old actor is recorded confessing that he molested three underage girls, reported TMZ.
The tape was apparently recorded during a therapy session with his wife Faye Grant in 2012. In the 3-minute audio recording, a male voice which allegedly belongs to Collins can be heard talking about the girls.
It is said that one of the victims was a 11-year-old New York girl who is a relative of his first wife. The incident happened when the girl was 11, 12 and 13.

Another victim was reportedly a girl who lived in their neighbourhood in LA. He said he later apologised to her. Collins is also believed to have mentioned another New York girl who was between 12 and 13 when the incident happened.
The law enforcement office knew of the tape and there has been an active investigation for the case with the nature of investigation, as the case is of "inappropriate sexual contact with minors", according to police officials.

Two detectives from the Special Victims Unit reportedly met Grant to ask her about the tape and other potential witnesses.
Grant, however, has denied her involvement with the emergence of the audio tape.

"I woke up today to learn that an extremely private recording I handed over to the authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation was recently disseminated to the press. I had no involvement whatsoever with the release of the tape to the media," she said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Collins has reportedly been fired from the comedy film 'Ted 2' and his TV show '7th Heaven' is apparently being pulled from multiple networks.
