Fans of the band have been waiting anxiously for new material since the release of "Feelings" back in September last year.
But now Levine, 37, who has been kept busy with his commitments on US television talent show "The Voice", has promised something fresh is on the way, reported Entertainment Tonight.
"Not an album right now, but maybe a song. Gotta keep the kids interested. We have something going on right now. Soon, it's coming... It's on the way. It's in the incubator," he said.
