The 27-year-old "Hello" singer released her third studio album on November 20, and in its third week on sale, the disc has sold another 510,000 copies, pushing her over the five million mark in America, according to Billboard.
She shattered 'N SYNC's single-week sales record in America by chalking up 3.38 million units in her first week, and then became the first artist to record two successive one million sales weeks seven days later.
Her new record bests one she set in 2011 when she sold five million copies of 21 in a calendar year.
