Adulterated sweets seized, 2 arrested

Two persons were arrested here and four quintals of adulterated sweets seized from them, police said today.
The police yesterday arrested two persons carrying adulterated sweets in a car from Meerut to Saharanpur to be supplied on Diwali, V S Rai, City Magistrate said.
The district administration has sent a sample of the sweets for testing, they said.
