"The local administration in Agra has been asked to make all arrangements in advance," IG (Law and Order) A Satish Ganesh said.
He however added that there has been no official communication about the visit of the US president to the city.
Till now, some senior officials of the US embassy have got in touch with the local administration in Agra, the IG said.
Expecting a visit by the US President, officials have been asked to perform a security drill and beef up the security.
To questions, the IG said that alert has already been sounded because of Republic Day and since an important guest would be there on the occasion, all necessary arrangements are being made.
