Air India's Kolkata-London flight via New Delhi today took off after a 7-hour delay because of cabin crew shortage and the passengers for London would have to stay in New Delhi for the night.
Air India officials here said the flight was scheduled to take off from here at 10.30 AM but it actually left at 5.30 PM because of shortage of crew members.
The plane had 160 passengers on board with 100 bound for London.
The officials said those 100 would stay in New Delhi tonight and would be accommodated in London flights from the national capital tomorrow.
