Navaneethakrishnan, who has been elected from Tamil Nadu in the bye-election to the Council of States, took the oath in English with Chairman Hamid Ansari in the Chair.
He took the oath soon after the House met for the day at 1:30 PM and ahead of the tabling of the Budget documents by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
