AIFF general secretary Kushal Das said: "Launching the mobile app for the I-League was one of the several initiatives taken by the AIFF for the further promotion of Indian Football as a whole."
"Connecting with a wider fanbase was definitely the drive for this initiative and I hope the mobile app will be happily welcomed by the I-League fans and it will strengthen the fanbase of the competition."
The I-League is the Premier Club Football Competition of India, which started in 2007, after the disbanding of the National Football League.
"The mobile app is designed by YouFoot Ltd, and it features the News, Features and Interviews listed in the official website - www.I-league.Org - as well as add-ons like the Results & Fixtures, the points table, polls, and also LIVE Commentary during the matches," the release stated.
