AIIMS MBBS entrance exam results announced

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) MBBS entrance exam 2016 results were announced this evening.
Out of 1,89,357 candidates who had appeared for the exam, 7137 candidates have qualified, said Dr Ashok Jaryal, Sub Dean, Exams, AIIMS.
"1,89,357 candidates had appeared for the exam which was held on May 29 this year, out of which 7,137 qualified and around 2000 will be called for the counselling sessions," said Dr Jaryal.
The counselling sessions will be conducted in multiple rounds beginning on July 4, Dr Jaryal added.

There are just 672 seats on offer in seven AIIMS centres in all - New Delhi, Patna (Bihar), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Raipur (Chhattisgarh) Rishikesh (Uttarakhand) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh).
Out of which 337 seats are unreserved, 181 are for OBC, 101 for SC and 53 seats are for ST candidates.
