AIIMS row: Shiv Sena hold protest in Jammu

The activists of Shiv Sena and Dogra Front today held a protest in the city over the Centre's "delay" in announcing the setting of proposed AIIMS.
The activists also accused BJP of forsaking the issues of the Jammu people after the party came to power in the state.
"The BJP during the time of election made strong statements that the party would fight and safeguard the interest of the people of Jammu, but since the formation of the government the inequality with Jammu has increased," Ashok Gupta president of the state unit of Sena said.
Gupta said that the only solution to end the discrimination with the people of Jammu region was "to grant statehood to Jammu".

"People of Jammu would launch a mass agitation if they continued to be ignored. The issue of AIIMS will prove to be a turning point," he added.
