Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair Monday took over as Air Officer Commanding of Air Force Station at Hakimpet here from Air Commodore RK Obheroi.
Surendran Nair, an alumnus of National Defence Academy, was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on June 11, 1988, adefencerelease said.
He is a qualified Flying Instructor and has more than 3200 hours of flying experience on several fighter and training aircraft.
During his career, Air Commodore Surendran Nair has held several staff and command assignments that include command of a fighter squadron as well as flying station, it said.
The personnel of Air Force Station presented an impressive parade to mark the taking over ceremony, the release added.
