The flight will depart from Vadodara at 0835 hours and arrive in New Delhi at 1010 hours. The incoming flight will leave the national capital at 0625 hours and arrive in the city at 0800 hours, Usha Jecob, Station Manager of Air India, told PTI here today.
She said "the morning arrivals would give passengers the benefit of a full working day both at Delhi and Vadodara."
"The flight will offer convenient connections to international sectors and also various important Indian cities," Jecob said.
The Government-owned airline had suspended daily morning and evening flights on Mumbai-Vadodara and Delhi- Vadodara routes a few years ago without citing any reason.
Since then local BJP Member of Parliament Balkrishna Shukla has been making all-out effort to get the flight restarted. He has been regularly writing letters to the Civil Aviation Ministry in this regard.
Shukla expressed happiness over the Air India decision said it will help in development of Vadodara, Gujarat's leading industrial hub.
Vadodara is a hub of industrial activities and it houses offices/facilities of leading corporates like Reliance Industries, GSFC, GACL, GNFC and ONGC, Shukla said.
Local industrialists and businessmen also expressed happiness over the resumption of Air India flight.
