Air Seychelles increases travel options to and from Mumbai

Air Seychelles, the national airline of Seychelles, will operate 21 weekly flights between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi in an agreement with Etihad Airways.
Under this agreement, Air Seychelles will put its HM flight code on 21 weekly Etihad Airways flights between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi that connect onto its services between Abu Dhabi and Seychelles, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean.
These codeshare flights will complement Air Seychelles' existing direct flights between Mumbai and Seychelles, which were launched in December 2014.
"We are excited to enhance our connectivity to Mumbai through this expanded codeshare, which builds on our three-per-week direct service to this metropolitan city," said Manoj Papa, Air Seychelles' Chief Executive Officer.

"Put together, these flights offer travellers more choice, flexibility and convenience, including daily connections to our archipelago and the option of combining a direct flight to Seychelles with a stopover in Abu Dhabi on the return journey, or vice-versa," he said.
According to him, the airline travelling proposition, which already offers the fastest air links from India to Seychelles, Tanzania and Madagascar, has now become even more appealing with this development.
"We will continue to work closely with Etihad Airways in order to strengthen our network and look forward to driving more tourism traffic from the Indian Subcontinent to and through Seychelles," he said.

The new codeshare flights are available for sale from February 1. The airline maintains a strategic partnership with Etihad, which is its 40 per cent stake.
