As part of this exercise, Aircel almost doubled its 3G sites since in the last one year, strengthening its robust network to provide uninterrupted and seamless experience to its customers, a senior official said.
As on date, the company had 2,624 sites compared to 1,353 in the corresponding period last year and the expansion would continue aggressively, Aircel Strategic Business Head-South Sankara Narayanan told reporters here.
"We are confident that by this expansion, our 3G network will prove to be the most reliance companion of our customers and their smart devices," he said.
To promote data usage through customer interface and by driving 3G customer experience, the company also rolled out a unique, first ever 3G experience bus that will traverse the length and breadth of the State starting from Coimbatore.
