Airport gets hoax call

Police officials including CRPF
personnel were kept on their toes at the Chennai Airport this morning, following an anonymous bomb threat call received by Airport Director, authorities said today.
Airport Director K Suresh received the call at 10.15 am stating that a bomb planted at the airport would go off any time, officials said.
He immediately informed the Airport Police who in turn stepped up vigil at Anna International and Kamaraj domestic terminals, they said.
All baggages and passengers bound for various destinations were screened, they said, adding, the call later turned out to be a hoax.
