AITA national coaches workshop in city

About 200 upcoming coaches from across the country will take part in the eighth AITA national coaches workshop at the scenic Vedic Village Spa Resort from September 11-14.
This is for the first time the city will host the biennial programme of the AITA Coaches Education and Certification, which will have two international speakers in former English Davis Cupper and director of 'Road to Wimbledon' Paul Hutchins and Alexandre Bernard director US Athletes Service.
There will be nine national speakers including sports medical and fitness consultant of BCCI and Indian Davis Cup team Dr Vece Paes, the Bengal Tennis Association said.

"We've received an overwhelming response including 68 from the city and they will stay at the Vedic Village during the workshop," BTA president Hironmoy Chatterjee said.
The scenic Vedic Village Spa Resort on the outskirts of the city has two synthetic courts where the tennis conditioning will be held, while the workshop will be held at the conference hall.
