India number four Sanil Jagtiani of Bengal will be the top seed in the boys U-16 which will also have Parikshit Somani, Nitin Sinha, Ishaque Eqbal among others in the draw of 32.
Tamil Nadu's R Sai Avantika, who is all India ranked 14th, will start with the top billing in the girls U-16 which will also have Priyana Kalita, Aarja Chakraborty, Rashmika Rajan among others.
Organised by former national coach Akhtar Ali, the tournament has received 300-plus entries in different sections as they will play the qualification rounds in the next two days.
The winner will get 50 rating points, while the runner-up will get 40.
