Akhilesh reviews work by different state departments

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today reviewed the works being carried out by nine different departments in meetings with their respective principal secretaries and took a report on their projects.
"The chief minister today had separate meetings with the principal secretaries of Urban Development, Higher Education, Agriculture, Home, Labour, Cooperative,Rural Development, Forest and Alternative Energy Sources departments," Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said.
"The chief minister enquired about the budget of the respective departments, how much of it has been sanctioned, how
much has been spent on the projects and what works have been completed under them," Ranjan said.
The chief minister asked the principal secretaries to provide a list of incomplete works of their departments and the time required for their completion, he said.
During his meeting with the officials of urban development department, Akhilesh stressed on making arrangements for disposal of solid waste besides discussing the battery-run rickshaw and Aasra schemes.
The chief minister stressed on the availability of fertiliser, construction of police control rooms and jails in the other meetings, the chief secretary said, adding, directives were also issued to the Home department for setting up a 'rain basera' near Charbagh Railway Station for providing shelter to the homeless during the winters.
