Akola sizzles at 44.5 degree Celsius

Akola today recorded the highest temperature in Vidarbha at 44.5 degrees Celsius as the region in Maharashtra continued to reel under heat-wave conditions.
Bramhapuri town in Chandrapur district was the second hottest at 43.5 degrees Celsius followed by Wardha at 43, the Met Depatment said here.
Nagpur, the state's second capital, recorded a maximum temperatre of 42.5 degree Celsius, slightly down from 43.7 yesterday.
Maximum temperatures in other important places in the region were: Amravati-42.8, Buldana-41.6 Chandrapur-42.6, Gondia-42.1, Washim-41.4, Wardha-43 and Yavatmal-42.5 degrees Celsius.
