The 55-year-old believes his divorce from his first wife, Kim Basinger, prevented him from being the father he dreamed of becoming to his daughter Ireland Baldwin, reported Contactmusic.
Baldwin is expecting his first child with second wife Hilaria later this year.
"The only thing that I regret was that I missed so much of my daughter's childhood because of this contentious situation. And that wasn't at all what I wanted. So I find that now I have another chance.
He married Hilaria in June, 2012.
