All Chakradharpur division rly stations plastic-free: Admin

A month-long green initiative launched by the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway has led all stations under the division to become plastic-free, the administration today said.
"We are proud to announce that all stations of the division are now free from use of cups, glasses and bags made of plastic and also thermocol cup and glasses," according to a statement issued by Chakradharpur division of SER here today.
The division had also launched a month-long drive against littering and imposed necessary penal action to check any deviation.
Regular public announcements were made to encourage vendors, passengers and rail users to avoid use of plastic, the statement said.

The division also appealed to the customers to support the green initiative, the statement added.
