Allahabad hottest place in UP at 44.3 deg C

Scorching heat continued to sweep across the state as weather remained dry today with the highest temperature of 44.3 degrees Celsius being recorded at Allahabad, the Met office said.
It said the day temperatures changed little over all divisions of the state.
The day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad divisions; above normal in Kanpur division; and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
The office forecast that weather is likely to remain dry in the state.
