The USD 14 million musical, inspired by Allen's 1994 film about a 1920s playwright and the gangsters and molls who become involved with his show, 'Bullets' opened to mixed reviews in April and could not manage great ticket sales, reported New York Times.
The musical is likely to lose most of its UD 14 million money.
The closing of 'Bullets' comes soon after the end of another movie-inspired musical 'Rocky'. These two were the most anticipated new musicals of the 2013-14 Broadway season but they failed to find audience.
The other Broadway musicals, inspired by movies, which flopped in recent years 'Big Fish,' 'Ghost the Musical,' 'Catch Me if You Can,' and '9 to 5.
