West Bengal Pradesh Congress president Somen Mitra Tuesday said the party is not thinking of any sort of alliance in the state before the next Lok Sabha election as the issue is not a "priority" in the present situation.
He said his aim is to strengthen the organisation ahead of next Lok Sabha poll.
"My aim is to strengthen the party organisation. Our party president Rahul Gandhi has asked us to focus on it," Mitra said when asked on the issue of alliance with ruling TMC in the next Lok Sabha polls.
Asked whether the party would go with the Left Front in Bengal, he said "We are not thinking about any sort of alliance presently ... It is not a priority in the present situation."
