Almond prices decline on subdued demand

Almond prices fell by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today due to low demand from retailers and stockists at prevailing levels amidst adequate stocks on increased supplies.
Almond (California) prices were down by Rs 100 to Rs 16,900-17,100 per 40 kg and its kernel rates also eased by Rs 5 to Rs 595-600 per kg as demand eased at prevailing levels.
Traders attributed the fall in almond prices to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.
