Aluminium prices firmed up by Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on increased buying by stockists, driven by a firm trend overseas amid pick-up in demand from consuming industries.

Traders said, apart from firm global cues, increased offtake by stockists due to uptick in demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot market, mainly led to a rise in aluminium prices.
