Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh Wednesday slammed the Modi government over unemployment issue, saying mere slogans like "I am Chowkidar" cannot address the grave problem.
Giving slogans like I am chowkidar does not make any sense at a time when people are struggling to feed their children and want jobs," Singh said while addressing a public rally here in favour of Congress candidate Kewal Singh Dhillon from Sangrur seat.
He said, This is a country of poor people. You can go anywhere like tribal areas of Odisha and Telangana, people there do not have food. But the government does not intend to address the issue."
