America knows more about celebrities than world affairs: Demi

Singer Demi Lovato has said people of her country are ignorant towards global issues and more interested in celebrity gossip.
After two days of her social media boycott, Lovato, 23, took to Twitter to rant about people's obsession with celebrites, reported Contactmusic.
"The world is weird. I bet our country knows more about celebrities than they know about what's happening over seas or global warming."
"We complain about how unfair paparazzi and tabloid rumours are but still buy the magazines to find out who wore it best," she wrote.
