The fourth season of the Ryan Murphy-created series is set in 1950s Jupiter, Florida, and centres around one of the last remaining freak shows of the time, reported Aceshowbiz.
The season will also focus on the conflict between the freaks and the "evil forces" who do not understand them.
From bearded ladies to Siamese twins, "Freak Show" features some of the series' most familiar faces.
The returning cast includes Jessica Lange as a German ex-pat who is managing the freak show, Sarah Paulson as conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler, Kathy Bates as Ethel Darling, Evan Peters as Ethel's son, Angela Bassett as Desiree Dupree, Emma Roberts as Maggie, Frances Conroy and Gabourey Sidibe.
