American teacher held in China for molesting students

An American teacher working at a private French school in China has been arrested on charges of molesting at least six students.
The teacher, surnamed McMahon was arrested after a female student at the Lycee Francais de Shanghai lodged a complaint against him.
The student said several other students had also been molested by McMahon, Shanghai police said, state-run Xinhua news agency reported today.
The police has set up a special team to investigate the case and detained the 32-year-old teacher on suspicion of sexual assault.
Investigation showed that six students (four females and two males), aged between six and 10, have lodged complaints against the teacher.

According to the victims the teacher allegedly took them to the school library and other places in the name of checking their homework, before molesting them.
Five of the involved students are French, and another is Italian.
