"Shah is the GCA's senior most Vice President and he will be its next President" Amin who controlled GCA for over a decade said here today.
The GCA President's post fell vacant after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had occupied the post since 2009, resigned a couple of days ago from the post.
In 2009, Modi, who was Gujarat Chief Minister was elected unopposed as GCA president.
Amin, who controlled GCA for over a decade, ruled out the possibility that he would be GCA's next President.
