In a bid to train qualified youth for employability in technical field, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today announced 'Amma Scheme for Training and Employment,' which would benefit over 25,000 youth this fiscal.
Making a suo motu statement in the Assembly, she said under the scheme, unemployed youth aged between 18 and 25 years having passed engineering, professional degree and professional diploma would be trained resulting in a job for six months with a stipend of Rs 5,000 paid by the companies.
