Amtek Auto falls 6 pc as Q2 net loss widens

Shares of Amtek Auto plunged over 6 per cent today after the company reported a net loss of Rs 755.18 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
On NSE, the stock opened at Rs 36.25 and slipped 6.76 per cent to touch an intra-day low of Rs 35.15. At 1300 hrs, the stock quoted at Rs 36.35, down 3.58 per cent from the previous close.
A similar movement was seen on BSE, where the scrip opened at Rs 36.10 and tumbled 5.71 per cent. At 1300 hrs, the stock was trading at Rs 36.45, down 3.19 per cent from the previous close.

On Tuesday, Amtek Auto reported a standalone net loss of Rs 755.18 crore during July-September quarter as compared to a net loss of Rs 158.62 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Total income decreased to Rs 498.92 crore in the period under review compared with Rs 833.83 crore in the same period a year ago.
