The accused Raghu (24), along with his accomplice, went to his prospective in-laws' residence after his marriage scheduled for April 15 was called off on Sunday evening, and insisted to meet the girl with whom he was to be married.
The girl's brother Kamlesh in his complaint to police said that Raghu, who was in an inebriated condition, took out a knife and slashed his nose and also attacked a relative who had come to attend the marriage.
The duo were caught by neighbours and later arrested by the police.
Police has registered a case in this connection on a complaint of Kamlesh, police officials said.
