An anonymous letter sent to the Acting Chief Justice of the Madras High Court has demanded that the heroin case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's disowned foster son V N Sudhakaran should not be heard by Principal Sessions Judge Chinnappan.
When the case came up for hearing, Judge Chinnappan, trying cases under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, mentioned about the letter and adjourned the matter.
Earlier, the judgement in the case had been deferred thrice following receipt of a telegram by Special Judge for NDPS cases Ramamurthy after which the case was transferred.
Sudhakaran is facing two cases of alleged possession of heroin.
