In an official release, Home Secretary Apurva Varma said the post of Director General of Police (Elections) Tamil Nadu, Chennai, held by Anoop Jaiswal has been discontinued and he has been posted as DGP/Chairman, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai.
DGP (Intelligence) Ashok Kumar was holding the additional charge of the post, he said.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu,the government had posted Jaiswal as DGP (Elections).
