For the pilgrims who had failed to secure advance eegistration, the Shrine Board has provided opportunity for on-the-spot registration, Tripathi said.
He said this year facilities had been established at four places in Vaishnavi Dham, Saraswati Dham, Mahajan Sabha, Sangam Resort and Ram Mandir (for Sadhus only) while in Srinagar the facility has been provided at the Tourist Reception Centre, Nowgam.
He said the Board has been releasing slots for on-the-spot registration after taking into account the number of slots against which advance registration has already been issued.
"Thus, for the first eight days of the Yatra, July 2 to July 9, the Board has released about 14500 slots for both the routes.
For on-the-spot registration the pilgrims are required to furnish the prescribed application along with a compulsory health certificate issued by an authorised doctor, he said.
Tripathi reiterated that the registered yatris would be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage only on the date and route for which they are registered.
