Ansari, an alumnus of AMU, will give away 500 degrees to graduates, postgraduate and PhD students during the university's 61st Annual Convocation, officials said.
In the convocation, Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi and a noted industrialist from the UAE, Yusuffali, will be awarded D Litt, honoris causa.
The University's first annual convocation was held in 1922 in which 75 degrees were conferred upon graduates.
The first convocation was presided over by the founder Chancellor of this institution, Begum Sultan Jahan, the then ruler of Bhopal state.
