Anti-BT cotton activist found dead in hotel

Sudhir Kumar Kaura, a biotechnologist, was found dead yesterday in a hotel room in Chowki Bagh Bahadur area, police said, adding that the scientist had arrived at the hotel on Saturday night.
Police did not find any suicide note from the room.
Kaura's father Yogendra Kumar has expressed suspicion over his son's death, saying that his son had gone to Delhi to join the the anti-graft protest led by Anna Hazare.
However, how did he reach Mathura raises the suspicion, he said.
Kumar said Kaura was involved with several organisations that highlighted the ill-effects of BT Cotton.
Kaura's body was sent to Hisar today after postmortem examination.
